One Extra Hour of Specific Driver's Education Cuts Accident Rates Dramatically

Drivers in their first year driving are 10 times more likely to be in a crash than for the entire rest of their driving career.(4) Car crashes are the number one cause of death among teens. (5)

 

Are these teen drivers killing themselves and others because they are careless, or because they are clueless?  

 

Turns out the answer is "clueless" - because our national driving training programs have not adopted specific training techniques that could go a long way toward fixing the problem. This is a national problem with a local solution.

Removing Mom's Blindfold to the Danger Facing Her Kids

When I was a young boy on the verge of becoming a man, my dad invited my brother and me to a "special" fishing trip. He made it clear it was going to be a "guys" event for the three of us .

So we get our anchor dropped, and worms in the water. Then dad says "I just want you to know that you are becoming men now, and there are a few things I need you to understand."   My brother and I looked at each other in panic....we were trapped in the boat, and about to get "the talk".

Using Known Science Could Save Kids and Taxpayers, and Reduce Teachers' Burdens

It takes a lot of nutrition for a pregnant woman to grow a new living human being.   If the right amounts of nutrition is not present in a pregnant woman's body, the baby often arrives with a brain that does not work right.  

The number of broken brains in America’s children is huge and growing.

There are 62 million kids between the ages of 3 and 17 in the United States.[1] Somewhere around 1 in 10 have mild to serious ADHD[2], another 1 in 10 have some form of dyslexia[3][4 and another 1 in 26 have a diagnosis of other learning disabilities[5]. Additionally, 1 in 68 is affected by Autism.[6]

Our children are losing their hearing at rapidly rising rates.   The tragedy of this is that it is a preventable self inflicted wound.   As a Futurist, I can see that this unfolding mess will harm millions of kids, and vastly increase our nations medical bills in the future unless we act.
