Waste Management Environmental Education Grant (Year-round)
These grants are awarded by Waste Management (WM), a private corporation engaged in residential and commercial waste retrieval and recycling. Recognizing the environment affects all aspects of our lives, from the air we breathe, to the way we power our homes, to the parklands in which we play, WM lends its support to programs related to environmental education, renewal resources that reduce fossil fuel dependence, and the preservation of wetlands, wildlife habitats and green spaces.
Eligible Entities
The Waste Management Charitable Contributions program provides support to organizations that have been approved by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charity and public organizations where any donations requested will be used exclusively for public purposes.
Eligible projects help prepare one or more of the following groups for environmental stewardship:

In addition, WM prefers education programs characterized by the following:
WM typically does not financially support operating costs, capital campaigns, multi-year requests, or individuals or foundations.
Applications are accepted year-round and are reviewed on a continuous basis.
Because it receives a high volume of applications, WM attempts to notify applicants within two months of the date of submission.
